Contraindications for MeLine & Cimel Peels
While both the MeLine Depigmenting System and the Cimel Activator Peel are non-invasive and safe across various skin phototypes, chemical peels cannot be performed if you have any of the following conditions:
Pregnancy or Nursing: Treatment must be deferred due to active depigmenting and stimulating ingredients.
Recent Sun Exposure or Sunburn: Active tanning or fresh sunburn significantly increases the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and skin damage.
Accutane / Isotretinoin Use: Must be off Accutane for at least 6–12 months prior to treatment.
Active Skin Infections or Conditions: Open wounds, active cold sores, rashes, eczema, or active dermatitis in the treatment area.
Recent Active Skincare Use: Must pause retinoids (Vitamin A), AHAs/BHAs (glycolic, lactic, salicylic acids), and hydroquinone for 7 days before and after your peel.
Aspirin / Active Ingredient Allergies: History of severe allergic reactions to peeling agents or photosensitizing medications.
History of Keloids or Poor Healing: Prone to abnormal scarring or impaired skin barrier function
